GHRP-6 is one of the earliest synthetic growth hormone-releasing hexapeptides, built from six residues including two tryptophans, one of them in D-configuration. It has CAS 87616-84-0, a molecular weight of 873.0 g·mol⁻¹ and is packed as a lyophilized peptide powder.
Its presence in the literature centres on ghrelin-pathway feeding behaviour, secretagogue synergy with GHRH analogues and skeletal muscle signalling in animal studies. Studied in vitro and in animal models; no approved clinical application in any jurisdiction.
